I'd like to have an own homepage. Where should I upload it, and what's the address of the homepage?
Every block has its main server. If you have an account on the server, it is enough to create (if it already doesn't exist) folder public_html and upload content there. As first page index.html is displayed, or index.php. List of main block servers can be found at here (czech).
Is it possible to use strahov's database servers on the webpage?
Every block has its own server. If you have account on the server, it is enough to create in your home directory a folder called public_html and upload your homepage there. The website can be accessed at URL: http://www.sh.cvut.cz/~"username"/

Can I advertise links to my webpages, that I created at work?
You cannot do this. Strahov computer network is forbidden to use for commercial activities, so on your personal pages you are not allowed to publish any commercial matter. This applies to banners and other similar advertisments (e.g. http://www.linx.cz). The same way it is not allowed to use (software) components from Strahov at work (access counter, database...).
Can I use a banner-exchange system on my homepage?
In no way. Even though you and the opposite partner does not pay anything, banners, that are generated by automata can involve commercial content and this is unacceptable in academic network.
